Um this isn't the Intertwined game I'm looking for...

(1 edit)

Yuki neutral_injured not found?... But they're saying fun stuff in the story! Noooo!

Reinstalled it and it broke from a "Line ___ Appeared Twice, at _____ and _____" Error. Oh well..

*Slams head on desk* Downloaded Renpy, Copied files, Recompiled, Game works. Help?

Yeah sorry about that. I need to fix that sprite still.

(1 edit)

Some of the nsfw images seem to be missing. For example Melmond_Lewd_1.jpg

Thanks for letting me know. I just pushed an update to fix these. I moved them in the source code and forgot to update the paths.

Is there going to be continued, if it is, would love to play it again!

Yep. A new update is about to be released here soon. Another week or so for 1.16.

Lol? It does be like that huh? (Took me a minute to read this x3)

Hey!

I just wanted to talk a bit about the game — especially the beginning of the story, which really helps us learn more about the main character (MC) and the other characters.

But that’s not all: I also had a few questions, and experienced some completely random bugs during my playthrough.

---

BUGS

Let me start with the bugs. I encountered one during the first card event.

The MC is supposed to go retrieve the card, but for some reason, it wasn’t showing up in the book at all.

I tried everything: deleting my save, restarting… nothing worked.

I ended up having to completely uninstall the game for the card to finally appear.

I have no idea what happened, but honestly, it was frustrating.

I was afraid the other cards would be bugged too, but luckily that didn’t happen — so that’s good.

I’m not sure if I’m the only one who had this issue, but I thought I should let you know.

Secrets & Mechanics

I have a question about the game’s mechanics:

If I understood correctly, you need to collect Devotions to unlock illustrations or secrets for the characters you interact with.

But does that depend on the choices you make?

Like, let’s say you have 4 choices, and only one gives you a Devotion — does that mean you have to replay the whole game to figure out which choice gives what?

No offense, but I think I spent at least 5 days trying to unlock everything.

I made tons of saves, and I was this close to using a save editor because it got so tedious 😅

Even if it was kind of fun, it was still exhausting.

I even started writing down where each Devotion appears... lol.

---

Question

And finally, a last question about the choice system.

For example, when you’re given the option to attack or resist (like with Ongaku),

does it actually change the story, or just the outcome of that specific scene?

I mean — does it affect the overall plot, or is it just about visual or dialogue differences?

---

Well, that’s all from me.

I’ll be waiting for your reply, but one thing’s for sure:

This game is amazing, beautifully built, and I really love the theme.

Even if it’s not 100% complete yet, I’m very tempted to give it 5 stars already — but I think I’ll wait a bit to see what’s next before making my final decision.

Hi hi! I'm glad you're enjoying the game! That first bug is completely new to me. I've replayed the game myself many times for testing and never had the card bug out like that. I also never got a bug report of that before. I will look into it and see if I can replicate it but that might have been a weird fluke.

Devotion points are supposed to be a type of way you act/react that gains favor with a specific character. In the case of where they show up, some devotion points will only show if you have prior ones. There's a ton of hidden paths that are placed throughout this game. I do my best to use the Star-Chart to notate where each point is and what requirement is needed to unlock them. If the pathways become too tedious, I can look into adding a mechanic to help out with that in the future. But, yes, if you choose one path for a devotion point it would need another save to go down the other ones. The game's design is built around choices you make affect your future which in some cases, choices made in Chapter 1 or 2, especially Choose Your Fates, can and will affect paths later in the game. Not all paths will be affected super dramatically; some are just a small dialogue change while others change whole scenes.

I hope that answered your questions! If not, please let me know and I can offer some more insight into the inner workings of the game. As for the devotion, I can try to work on making it a little less confusing. With so many points, it can be a bit tedious to keep track of everything.

I believe you've already answered most of my questions, but I still have one about Yuki — the one with time transcendence, or time magic.

If I understood correctly, he's supposed to be a god. But then, how can a god literally lose so easily to a simple mortal? I mean… he's supposed to be immortal, and on top of that, extremely powerful for two reasons:

1. He's a god (at least according to the story, if I got that right).

2. He's supposed to predict all of his opponent’s attacks in advance.

You can't seriously tell me he couldn't anticipate the attacks, when he’s supposedly able to move through the past, present, and future. Because for me, that’s exactly what time magic means.

(Unless there are still some story details I missed.)

Just to be clear, I’m not saying this to criticize you — it’s just that I find it a bit strange that a god could lose to a mortal. That said, I haven’t mentioned the Tree of Life yet.

(+1)

You are correct, Yukine is indeed a God though for reasons (Some mentioned in the story so far and others not mentioned yet) he is extremely weakened at the moment. His god-like power has been watered down easily by 80-90% of what it actually is. There is also a lot more about the mortal he was fighting that will be revealed in later chapters.

There will be more that is revealed about Gods in future chapters.

This was an interesting read, though I noticed some bugs with the star chart. Potential spoilers below.

For Yukine, one of the points says to ask Yukine if he dislikes life, but asking if he had been happy is what actually gave me the devotion point, and his final devotion point is awarded at the appropriate point but not crossed off in the star chart. For Wolfy, the points to speak with him in the train car, defend him, and to save the woman were awarded but not crossed off, and the final point doesn't seem to be awarded at all, it would be a 7th point but the other section of the star chart says he can only have 6.

Finally, a question not a bug, were the milestone scenes mentioned in the patch notes simply the scenes after you called someone from the roof, or was there something I missed?

Hmmm, I will need to see why those broke in terms of not being crossed off.
Wolfy's 7th devotion point is actually in Chapter 5 but there was code added prematurely. It has the wrong chapter marking on it which I will fix.
Yes, the milestone scenes are the rooftop scenes that trigger based on who you call.

My fellow eternumates recommend this game,I'd love to try this.

This VN is an absolute beauty, it got all the things i hoped for and even a bunch more.

Story is nicely written out, characters feel very nice to see and listen to and the player integration is on top and keeps you entertained/emotional throughout.

I even started believing in this so called "beacon of hope", sadly I can't remember that story completely but I remember it being very nice/emotional and inspiring.

Keep up the good work and inspire all those in need, but keep your health up front, above all else.

(p.s. If there is a way to re-read the story of the "beacon of hope" please let me know. By that I mean if there was this story anywhere or just the scene were Yukine and Melmond say that story, would greatly appreciate it.)

{Edit} Last but certainly not least, this game got me consider my life and values, and make the best of the worst. May everyone's hopes and dreams be blessed from above.

Im glad your enjoying the game! The beacon of hope story was not re-added when I re-wrote the story, but I can try to dig it back up and add it somewhere if it makes sense. I have better stories for the future so we shall see if I can't make it even better!

I would love to see it again somewhere in there, but now I'm also really excited about them new stories.
